Well hello there, thank you for taking the time to visit my little page, My name is Kimberly Fisher I am the proud single mother of two beautiful girls (yes I am totally biased but what mother isn’t these days ha!) I am a survivor of Non Hodgkins Lymphoma (cancer) four years clear woohoo!! I currently live in a small town in Scotland with my two girls, whippet named Lady, cat named Willow, snake, two tarantulas and a cute crested gecko……..so basically I live in a crazy little zoo.
My girls are now aged 9 and 13 and they are very happy, intelligent, witty girls who love nothing more than to totally ignore me while they’re playing the Xbox or on their laptops surrounded by their own mess that I run around clearing up behind them totally normal right? but seriously they are truly amazing little humans that make me more proud every single day.
I don’t want to sit here and pretend my life is perfect because in reality its far from it. I suffer from depression and anxiety and take medication daily for it but I’ve never given up I may struggle sometimes (well to be honest a lot of the time) but I push my way through every day and get where I need to be.
If someone had to ask me what my passions in life are i’d first say my little family I am a single mother I have been for basically seven years ‘shock’ but its through my own choices I chose to focus on my family first and then I believe the rest will fall into place by itself im a great believer in fate my mother used to say something that always stuck in my head which was “whats for you…. won’t go by you” so I believe that if there is a fish out there inn the big wide world for me I’ll find him.
My girls are my life they come first before everything sometimes I forget I even exist but then what mother doesn’t and its worth every second of it just to see how happy, healthy and content they are on a daily basis. My other passions in life have to be beauty I adore make up I own a ton especially for someone who hardly gets a chance to wear any I love all aspects of beauty and we definitely have makeovers on a weekly occasion that my girls love (yes I may look like im from the 80s by the end of it) its great fun and those are the memories that will last for a lifetime.
Also I love nothing more than to chill out when my house is quiet girls are in bed and play the PS4 or my Xbox i’m a bit of a geek do they still use that term? a nerd? am I getting old ‘sigh’ oh well its my little escape from reality of daily life. Photography is my other passion I love all aspects of photography from taking the pictures to editing them I like to believe a photograph is a memory that will stand still and last forever.
I am currently studying part time for my English literature degree through The Open University its hard work but I’m absolutely loving it and hopeful it will give me the chance to better my life not only for myself but for my girls too.
Why I started my blog?.
well where do I begin? I have always been a keen writer if I wasn’t writing short stories or poems as a child and then for my children I was making comic books up and sketching pictures to share with family and friends it has always been a passion of mine. Over the last maybe two years I’ve thought about taking the plunge and starting a blog page but was far too nervous in case people didn’t like it or they would judge me which is ridiculous right? Who cares what other people think life’s just too short! I believe in doing what makes you happy in life.
If you don’t already know by now I suffer from anxiety and depression and bipolar disorder with a huge side of agoraphobia which means I get very lonely sometimes. I can’t really do anything unless I’m with a family member, I can’t really leave the house and it kills me because I’m such an open hearted and friendly person who loves to chat with new people and make new friends so this is where my blog comes in.
My blog is only little but I have already met some amazing people who give me confidence and the drive to better myself and be a boss ass b***h which is absolutely amazing and I can’t thank them enough for it I’m looking forward to sharing my daily struggles, highs and lows and every aspect of my little family’s crazy thing we call life.
If you would like to know anything else about me please do not hesitate to get in touch I would love to hear from you.
