Hello lovelies, welcome back to my page I hope you’re having a wonderful day wherever you are in the world. I wanted to share with you this amazing super quick Berry smoothie bowl recipe I had shared an image of my own on instagram and a wonderful follower asked if I could write the recipe for you all so here we go.
I’m not a huge fan of the usual cereal in the morning well one because I’m dairy intolerant and two I’m not too keen on cereal with almond milk. So off I went looking for something new and tasty. I came across a few different smoothie recipes and as an avid smoothie drinker (like every single day) I thought what if you could make it a little thinker and have it as a smoothie bowl instead?
I picked all my favourite fruits and berries and got to trying them out! It was so much fun even my daughters got involved with me it was like a little experiment day in our kitchen (we made that much we had to give it out to family and friends) finally we settled for this amazing recipe and it’s that quick and easy you can literally do it with your eyes closed (like me in the morning).
So let’s get on to the good stuff!!
- 240 ml almond milk or whichever milk you prefer.
You can totally use fresh or frozen berries. I use both whichever I have in at the time…
- 150g strawberries.
- 30g kale.
- 40g raspberries.
- 50g blackberries.
- 65g banana.
- 215g Ice cubes
- Add all your ingredients to a blender and mix on high until smooth it’s that easy.
- Pour into a bowl of your choice.
- Garnish with your preferred fruit and any other delicious toppings we love sunflower seeds and flaxseed.
Sit your tired butt on the sofa pop the tv on and enjoy! It really is a fantastic and refreshing way to start your day plus your body will totally thank you for the macronutrients which are extremely healthy for you. My daughters absolutely love having this in the morning and it completely sets them up for their day at school as well as getting my eldest daughter who is a fussy eater to eat fruit and vegetables (not knowingly haha one of my magic tricks). I usually have a nice mug of hot water with a little wedge of lemon too.
What do you have to eat in the morning? I’d love to hear below!
