Hello lovlies, welcome back to my page. Allow me to introduce you to my first blog review of Birchbox. I have been subscribed to Birchbox for just over a year now and absolutely love it.  Now I know there will be a few of you out there thinking to yourself  “what the hell is Birchbox?” well I am going to introduce you.  For the cost of £12.95 a month I receive a fabulous reusable little box full of beauty goodies each box is different full of new and up and coming beauty brands and each box has a beautiful different design.

I have to say the boxes are very well made and furthermore they act like a little drawer which is fantastic whether you use it like me for little odds and ends or jewellery they are so handy in fact now my teenage daughter waits to see what box design I get and snaffles them for her makeup collection.

Now inside the box, you will find a selection of good size samples of beauty products, sometimes a full-size one and sometimes a free gift, for example, a makeup brush etc.   Now we all love free things don’t we – well I know I do!!. In addition, to the products you receive a guide as to what the products are and consequently other details about them.  So grab a cuppa, sit back, relax and read all about my April Birchbox.

April review

This month Birchbox has teamed up with the iconic British brand Cath Kidston to celebrate their 25th Birthday.  Yes, they’ve been cheering people up for the past quarter of a century so they couldn’t think of a better way to bring this partnership to bring a little sunshine to your month of spring! If you live in the uk like me I know you’ll be needing it with all the snow we’ve been getting!!  Amongst the five beauty treats you will find something to add a little glow to your skin (and your day!) and of course a very special limited edition treat.

Whats in my Birchbox?

My products

Baked Highlighter  RRP £24

Baked goodies are almost a mood brightener (homemade cookies and gingerbread we are looking at you!).  Likewise, this baked treat is an instant complexion illuminator.  Just swerve a fluffy brush across the marbled powder and sweep over cheekbones for that lit-from-within glow.

Beautaniq Beauty

Full & Tame Brow Gel in Blonde, Brunette or Black  RRP £8.60

Show unruly brow hairs who’s boss with this easy to use formula.  Starting at the inner edge of your brow and moving outward, use short strokes to define and shape with the precision tip brush.  The vegan formula is enriched with nourishing aloe leaf extract and glycerin so there’s no risk of crunchy or sticky brow hairs.

Cath Kidston

Hand Cream  RRP £2.50

Along with the usual suspects found in your handbag – keys, mobile phone, old receipts – we’d recommend saving a spot for this hand cream.  Not only is the exclusive Birthday Rose packaging as pretty as a picture but the floral lotion inside will leave your skin feeling silky soft and smooth.

Percy & Reed

Reassuringly Firm Session Hairspray RRP £12.50

For hair that can withstand wind, humidity, and April showers, reach for this firm-but-flexible hairspray. Just a few spritzes over your finished style will provide a strong hold-without weighing your strands down. It also combats frizz and flyaways so your beachy waves or topknot will look great all day long.

BB Cream golden glow illuminator RRP £25.50

Think of this as a drop of sunshine in a bottle. Great for days when you want a glow that only 8 hours of sleep will give you, this hypoallergenic formula makes it easy to achieve smooth, dewy skin. In fact it hydrates and calms, even tone, controls shine, blurs fine lines and boosts radiance.

May’s Birchbox Sneaky Peek

Choose your Doucca Luscious Lip Stain in either Steaming Red or Amber Rose.  Wave goodbye to lipstick touch-ups and hello to long-lasting colour with the make-up treat.  The high coverage pigment glides on smoothly for a comfortable, all-day matte finish.  I’m going to be in lipstick heaven.  I highly recommend subscribing to the monthly Birchbox beauty box if not for the products for the price alone and its like a surprise birthday present delivered to your front door each month which it fantastic.

Looking forward to May’s box now… see what treats they have in store!!
